A Vista brandOne material, one problem
We make silica, and we use it to solve one thing: reaching a gloss target without giving up the surface, the process window or supply stability.
Who we are
Vista Chemical was established in 2022 as a chemical materials company. In 2024 we launched Vistamatt as a dedicated brand for coating matting agents — not as an additional product line, but as the focus of the business.
We are a young company working in one narrow field. That is deliberate. A matting agent behaves differently in a waterborne clear wood system than in a UV roller line or a flexible rubber coating, and the difference is not something a general additives supplier tends to engage with. Narrowing the scope is what makes the technical conversation possible.
Why silica matting
Silica is the carrier for matting. We produce it ourselves, which means particle size, pore structure and surface treatment are variables we control rather than specifications we inherit from an upstream supplier.
That control is the reason the range is organised as a grade matrix rather than a short catalogue. When a customer needs a finer route for clarity, or a coarser route for deeper matting, or a wax-treated surface for a specific system, those are adjustments we can make rather than gaps we have to work around.
How we work with customers
- Application review before samples ship. A described system produces a screening plan; a bare grade request produces a bag of powder.
- Two samples, not one. A lead grade and a comparison route in the first round answers more than one grade run twice.
- Phased introduction. Second source, single line or a non-core SKU first — not wholesale replacement.
- Support through scale-up. Lab result to pilot to production, including troubleshooting when appearance or process behaviour shifts.
Who we work with
Technical distributors building a matting portfolio with local stock and technical sales capability. Coating manufacturers and formulators who need stable appearance, process fit and a balance between cost and supply security. International coating groups and OEM supply chains where certification, supply security and batch consistency lead the decision.
Where we serve
We supply coating manufacturers and technical distributors across Europe, the Americas and Asia Pacific. Shipments to date include Spain, Germany, the United States and markets across Southeast Asia.
Production and technical support are based in China. Commercial coverage runs through a combination of direct supply and regional technical distribution partners, depending on the market and the stage of the project.
| Region | Coverage |
|---|---|
| Europe | Spain, Germany and neighbouring markets. Direct supply and technical distribution. |
| Americas | United States, expanding across North and Latin America. TSCA listed. |
| Asia Pacific | Vietnam, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia and the wider region. |
| Middle East & Africa | Türkiye and developing markets. Project-based supply. |
Regulatory status is confirmed per market and per project before shipment. Tell us the destination early and we will address it as part of the technical discussion.
We manufacture in-house and customers are welcome at the plant. If a site visit or audit is part of your supplier qualification process, tell us early and we will arrange it.
Making the silica ourselves changes the conversation
Grades, not compromises
Particle size, pore structure and surface treatment are formulation variables we adjust, not fixed specifications we resell. When a system needs a finer or coarser route, it exists.
One conversation, not two
Technical questions do not have to travel through a trading layer to reach the people who understand the material. Application support and production sit in the same company.
Supply you can audit
Batch consistency, lead time and capacity are ours to answer for. Customers are welcome to visit the plant as part of qualification.
Six coating solutions
The range is organised by where grades are used and what has to hold true in that system.
Meet our team
A cross-functional group with deep experience in silica manufacturing, surface modification science, international trade, and production operations.
Jackson Wang
Founder & General Manager
Founded Vistamatt in 2024 with a clear vision: transform China's silica manufacturing expertise into world-class matting solutions. Every client relationship starts with understanding their formulation challenge.
Dr. Sarah Chen
R&D Director, Ph.D.
Leads surface modification research and W-series grade development. Specializes in silica-based matting for UV, water-based, and leather systems. Supervised 3 generations of formula iterations before launch.
Eric Liu
International Sales Manager
Primary point of contact for European and North American clients. Manages end-to-end journey from inquiry through sample delivery to ongoing order fulfillment. Fluent in English, Mandarin and German.
Linda Huang
Quality Control Manager
Manages QC lab and inspection protocols. Every batch carries her signature on the COA — that's a promise it will perform exactly like the approved sample. Trained under ISO 22000 and FAMI-QS systems.
Victor Zhang
Production Director
20 years in chemical precipitation production. Oversees two silica lines and one surface treatment line with 35+ operators. We own the entire chain from silica to finished matting agent — that control is what consistency is built on.
Trade shows & events
We exhibit at leading coatings industry events across Europe and Asia. Face-to-face conversations about your formulation challenges, live sample demonstrations, and direct access to our technical team.
European Coatings Show (ECS) — Nuremberg, Germany. Our flagship annual exhibition where we showcase the full Vistamatt grade range, conduct live matting demos, and meet with European formulators.
ChinaCoat / Asia Pacific Leather Fair — Regional events serving Asian markets. Contact us to schedule a meeting at our next show, or request a private factory visit in Longyan, China.
Company milestones
From silica manufacturer to global matting agent brand — key moments in the Vistamatt story.
Q4 2022 — Foundation
Longyan Vista Chemical Co., Ltd. founded. First silica precipitation production line commissioned. Initial team of 12.
2023 — Building capacity
Production ramped to 3,000 MT/year. First international orders (South Korea, Thailand). R&D lab established. Surface modification research initiated. Second production line installed — capacity expanded to 5,000 MT/year. W-series Generation 1 prototype completed.

Why Vistamatt — measured
Specific claims with real customer results behind them. Not marketing adjectives — data from documented case studies.
Lower dosage (3.0–3.8% vs. industry avg 4.5–6.0%). Real result: €29K/year savings on a 15 MT account (German client, 2025)
From ±8 GU variation before. 75% improvement in batch-to-batch uniformity. Micro-pitting eliminated.
vs. industry average 3–7 business days. Sample delivery in 7 days. Custom grade development in 10–15 working days.
Full chain control
We manufacture our own silica base. We perform surface modification in-house. Full traceability: batch number → production date → raw material lot → QC test data → COA. If you have a problem, we diagnose it at the molecular level.
Supply security
VMI available — we monitor your stock, we replenish. 5,000 MT annual capacity = headroom for growth. Flexible MOQ: 500 kg standard / 2000 kg custom. Zero stock-out incidents reported by VMI clients in 11 months.
