Vistamatt has confirmed its participation in CHINACOAT 2026, the leading coatings exhibition in Asia. The Vistamatt technical team will be on site to discuss grade selection across all six application lines, with a focus on:

• Waterborne clear wood: Vista-660 (no-whitening performance)
• UV wood & panel: Vista-3550U / Vista-141S (high-line-speed roller & spray)
• Coil & industrial: Vista-171S (PMT 210–250°C validated)
• Deep matte: Vista-1650A (2–8 GU achievable)

Free 200–500g samples will be available at the booth for qualified coating formulators. Visitors are encouraged to bring their system details (resin type, target gloss, application method) for on-site grade matching.

2026 Generic SDS Revision Published — All Grades, CAS 7631-86-9

Revised 16-section GHS SDS reconfirms Not Classified status, IARC Group 3, TSCA Active, and 24-month shelf life across all 25+ Vistamatt grades.

Vistamatt has published its 2026 revision of the Generic Safety Data Sheet (SDS) covering all Vistamatt® silica matting agent grades. The 16-section GHS SDS confirms:

• GHS classification: Not classified (non-hazardous)
• IARC: Group 3 (not classifiable as to carcinogenicity)
• Crystalline silica: <0.1% (XRD verified)
• Transport: Not regulated under DOT, ADR, IMDG, IATA
• Shelf life: 24 months in original unopened packaging

The SDS is applicable to all 25+ Vista grades, from Vista-660 through Vista-1551. Grade-specific Technical Data Sheets (TDS) are available separately upon request.

The TSCA Compliance Declaration for CAS 7631-86-9 (Active on TSCA Inventory) has also been reconfirmed for 2026 and is available alongside the SDS in the Compliance Center.

Vista-171S Shipped to Coil Coating Manufacturer in Spain

12-tonne shipment dispatched to Spain after a three-month lab-to-pilot evaluation — the company’s fourth coil coating delivery to the Iberian market in 12 months.

A 12-tonne shipment of Vista-171S (d50 7.0–7.5 µm) was dispatched to a coil coating manufacturer in Spain for use in polyester-based coil systems. The grade was selected after a three-month lab-to-pilot evaluation in which it replaced an incumbent industrial matting agent at equivalent gloss (10–25 GU, 60°) with no impact on reverse-side adhesion or weathering performance.

The customer’s system runs at PMT 210–250°C with a 20–40 second dwell time. Vista-171S was validated across the full temperature window with consistent gloss and surface smoothness.

This shipment marks Vistamatt’s fourth coil coating delivery to the Iberian market in 12 months.

Vista-3550U Validated for High-Line-Speed UV Roller Coating at 15 m/min

Field validation confirms stable gloss control (5–15 GU) and clean bath stability at line speeds up to 15 m/min in UV-curable wood coatings.

Vistamatt announces field validation of Vista-3550U in UV-curable wood coatings applied by roller coater at line speeds up to 15 m/min. The grade (d50 5.5–6.0 µm) demonstrated stable gloss control at 5–15 GU (60°) without blocking or viscosity drift in the coating bath.

In a side-by-side trial against a benchmark UV matting agent, Vista-3550U achieved equivalent matting efficiency at comparable loading (2–4% on total formula), with improved transparency on clear UV primers and sealer coats.

“UV wood lines run fast and tolerate zero inconsistency in the matting agent dispersion,” the application lab reported. “Vista-3550U was engineered specifically for that environment — fine enough for smooth feel, hard enough not to settle in the bath.”

Vistamatt Completes Second Full Year of Silica Matting Agent Production

Longyan Vista Chemical marks the close of its second full production year, with shipments to 12 export markets across Europe, the Americas, and Asia-Pacific.

Longyan Vista Chemical Co., Ltd. marks the completion of its second full year of precipitated silica matting agent production at its Longyan, Fujian facility. Since the plant’s commissioning in 2022 and the launch of the Vistamatt® brand in 2024, the company has shipped to 12 export markets across Europe, the Americas, and Asia-Pacific.

“Our focus has always been on matching the right grade to the customer’s system — not selling from a catalog,” said the Vistamatt technical team. “That approach has driven repeat orders from coating formulators in Spain, Germany, the United States, Vietnam, and Malaysia.”
